Green roof systems

Six assemblies from 26 to 190 lb/ft², flat decks through 3:12 slopes, retrofit through podium. Depth used to name this range and no longer does: choose by the outcome the project is held to and the build-up follows from it.

LITE

Meristem LITE · Extensive

26 lb/ft² saturated

The thinnest full assembly we build, for decks with nothing left to give.

Optimised for lowest saturated load per unit of retention. Retains 55% of annual rainfall, 4" (100 mm) build-up, to 2:12 without stabilisation.

TRAY

Meristem TRAY · Extensive

32 lb/ft² saturated

Pre-grown modules that land planted and come up for deck access.

Optimised for phased installs and roofs that get opened again. Retains 50% of annual rainfall, 4.5" (115 mm) build-up, to 3:12.

MEADOW

Meristem MEADOW · Semi-intensive

44 lb/ft² saturated

A seeded native meadow, specified for habitat outcomes and audited for them.

Optimised for verified pollinator habitat, not a plant list. Retains 65% of annual rainfall, 6" (150 mm) build-up, to 2:12.

RETAIN

Meristem RETAIN · Performance

55 lb/ft² saturated

A detention assembly with plants on it. Sized to a hydrograph, not a depth.

Optimised for contractual stormwater performance with controlled release. Retains 92% of annual rainfall, 8" (205 mm) total build-up build-up, to 1:12.

TERRACE

Meristem TERRACE · Intensive

120–190 lb/ft² saturated

Occupied roof: lawn, shrubs, trees, paving, and the structure to hold them.

Optimised for usable square footage on the roof plane. Retains 78% of annual rainfall, 12–24" (300–600 mm) build-up, to 1:12.

BIOSOLAR

Meristem BIOSOLAR · Performance

38 lb/ft² saturated

The array is ballasted by the roof it stands in, and runs cooler for it.

Optimised for panel yield and roof performance from one assembly. Retains 58% of annual rainfall, 5" (130 mm) build-up, to 2:12.
